Whitley Academy is judged 'Outstanding'

Whitley Academy, a member of the RSA Family of Academies, had their full Ofsted inspection on 12 and 13 December 2013.  The school has been judged to be “outstanding” in all four areas: achievement of pupils; quality of teaching; behaviour and safety of pupils; and leadership and management.  The full report is available on the school’s website.

Help us crowdfund the Pupil Design Awards

We are trialling the expansion of our Student Design Awards with 14-19 pupils – first in our Academies, then across the UK. The awards challenge emerging designers to tackle pressing social, environmental and economic issues through design thinking. Watch our film and help crowdfund the project – every pound will help. Deadline for donations is Friday 17 January!

Mentor pupils to broaden their horizons

Building on a partnership we have launched with Warwick University, Broadening Horizons will offer a group of 14-16 year olds high quality mentoring and development. We are currently developing the programme, and you can contact Richard Pickford to express your interest.
