RSA Academies Board are looking for Trustees

Are you feeling inspired by Matthew Taylor’s annual lecture to help unleash the power to create amongst our young people?  Can you help develop practical connections between the schools in our Family of Academies and businesses that will help prepare pupils for the world beyond the school gates?  Or do you have expertise in fund-raising?  If so, RSA Academies would like to hear from you!

We are currently looking to strengthen the RSA Academies Board by appointing new Trustees and co-optees to the Board.  We are particularly keen to hear from people with business and/or fund-raising expertise, who have knowledge and understanding of the skills employers are seeking in school-leavers and possible opportunities for improving school-business links, ideally linked to RSA’s “Power to Create” ambition.

RSA Academies is a charitable company established in September 2011 to give learners the broad range of skills, qualifications, and experiences they need to thrive in their continuing education and the world of work. We work with four schools, all of which are based in the West Midlands, and a fifth school will be joining the Family in September.

For more information about the role and how to apply please contact [email protected] by Monday 28 July.

You can find out about some recent RSA Academies activity in a blog from Georgina Chatfield, project coordinator, outlining the RSA Academies Arts Day which celebrated creativity in the RSA Family of Academies, awarding the Pupil Design Award and the RSA Academies Art Prize.
